TITLE TBD…

I have been a Special Education teacher for over twenty years. I have identified students and helped them cope with the educational system. I have tried to remediate their basic skills, and have helped them try and build a more positive self-concept. I have never had any training in how to neurologically/physiologically help them.

Special Educators usually say they cannot fix our students. Now I have found something that has tremendously helped the twelve students that I have had repatterned. I attended a seminar given by Rebecca Kennard and found the information so unbelievably relevant to the day-to-day behavior of my students. One of Becky’s trained associates worked with these students, and almost immediately we noticed a difference in the following areas: handwriting, reading, writing, and organizational skills. The students were much more self-assured. Some have been “staffed out” of Special Education. Others are doing much better in all areas.

She used to be in tears…

When I was first introduced to the concept of Brain Integration Therapy, I was interested for the sake of all my children, but particularly for Corrie. Despite the fact that she had a quick wit and normal intelligence, she seemed to struggle with school and following directions. She got easily distracted and struggled to finish anything. Writing was a chore and brought tears. When she did finish a writing assignment, it wasn’t well organized, and it was brief and difficult to read. If I asked her to do two things at once, usually she half completed the first task and the second one got forgotten entirely.

I repeated myself often. She was not a rebellious child! But it seemed that nothing I asked her to do got done completely or in a timely manner—ever! Corrie went into Brain Integration Therapy for a couple of months with Lynda Gigliotti and got results that are lasting until today, about two years later. Corrie tells me that she more easily retains what she has heard and is less forgetful. I can verify that she does forget things occasionally, but not constantly as before! Corrie has also stated that in the past she “couldn’t read for 20 seconds without letters and lines switching places in my head.” Now she can read line by line and finds this a pleasurable activity and not drudgery! I think the most dramatic change is her ability to write. She has regular writing assignments that she completes quickly and efficiently now. She even writes some poetry and occasionally journals– for pleasure and not for an assignment! This is a dramatic change from the stress and tears that we experienced before. Each of our children who participated in the therapy sessions with Lynda enjoyed improvement. However, Corrie was helped the most. We are very thankful that we met Lynda and got this much needed help!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tamera R. Stevens

An answer to prayer…

A friend at Katelyn’s school told us about Lynda Gigliotti, a Brain Integration Therapist, and she has been working with Katelyn for the last couple of months. Exercises involving the coordination of the left and right brain several times a week have resulted in noticeable improvements. Katelyn has an easier time memorizing, and her focus is definitely making progress.

Katelyn has even noticed that she has better control with her penmanship. Brain Integration is a process that definitely takes time and dedication, but it works! We are grateful Lynda was put into our lives. She is an answer to prayer. We look forward to a future with hope and anticipation as Katelyn’s eyes are opened to a world that no longer appears blank and hopeless. She is starting to believe in herself, and our family believes in Lynda and Brain Integration Therapy. We highly recommend Lynda in whatever capacity her services are needed. She is highly dedicated to her work and the children she works with.

Sincerely,
Pat Schlichting
